- Quick weight loss. This doesn’t always happen, but weight loss without trying is usually a sign that something’s wrong in the human body. With diabetes, it can be due to the body breaking down muscle and fat cells for energy.
- Weakness and fatigue. Again, many diseases cause you to feel unable to do anything.
- Tingling in hands and feet. As too much sugar damages the nervous system, the sufferer develops neuropathy, problems with the limbs.
- Blurry vision. Excess blood sugar can affect vision. Blindness and other eye problems are possible with untreated diabetes.
- Problems healing. Diabetes can make it more difficult for a body to heal. Scrapes and infections can take longer than normal to heal.
